Have you tried any on ballistic jell yet? Lee

Is that a group in the first pic? If it is, HOLY COW! Looks like one hole. What range was that shot at?

Grouse, has it been determined what minimum velocity is necessary for the steel bullet to open?

If I remember correctly T7 came out in 2002.

1000fps i believe. A score might need added to allow the petals to shear like the brass bullets.

That's a 96yard 3 shot group. I actually shot a 4th bullet that made it a hair bigger on another pic i deleted.

You got one? I really think right now more importantly is shoot them out of a 50cal and see what a good load would be for children. I really should not of used the 45cal and took the 50 instead. maybe Mike will find some time. I'm busy until next weekend.

You know i think I will get out early next week, the DISC 50 is stnding here in the corner... it is loaded with a .459/277 Lehigh - I could go shoot that out as elk season is over the 16th, and it needs to be cleaned.

I can shoot some of those 150's either Monday or Tuesday. I am thinking of starting with 100 grains of T7-2f or is there thoughts that would like to start lower... I'll probably top out at 110 of T7 and a couple of shots with BH.

Scratch that it will have to be Tuesday or Wednesday - gotta get a money order in the mail first thing Monday morning....

If we are truly talking about developing a load for a child/woman or recoil sensitive person, I'd think starting at the 70-80g level would be more appropriate. My wife won't shoot anything over 80 grains with a 200g bullet. Yeah it's a lighter bullet but that's still a good amount of powder. Even with roundballs most kids won't want to shoot 100 grains.

Just a thought... I'm interested in the results at any level.
