Default Fast twist barrel blanks?

Green Mountain still lists 1:28" barrel blanks on their website, but it says "see dealer" and as I search around it sounds like they have stopped producting them (err) and they have already dried up. Is there a source for a 1:24-28" barrels anymore? My pistol project is at a standstill unless I find a source or a used gun I can chop the barrel from.

Spaniel,
There is plenty of 50cal 1/24 twist Savage barrels around. Not sure what caliber you are looking for. $100.00 bucks should get you a used one.

Pedersoli Brutus muzzle loaders such as the Denali and Ovation have a 1:24 twist. Cabelas is selling them for $99.00. They are excellent quality and for that price you could cut one up and probably sell the rest of the gun for parts to get your money back. The same gun at Dixie is $574.00. It's an option

Both great ideas....thanks. Geez, can't believe I didn't think of asking on Doug's board about the Savages.

I need 12" legally, I'll probably go 13-14" to be safe, which is why I'm looking to cut down a rifle blank or barrel. I'll check them out to see if they have longer.
Thanks again.

At gun parts corp you can find the barrel you need either round or Oct. and they have stainless denali barrels for $37.40 26" with breech plugs. I have built a rifle around the denali barrel.
