Hello,

I have an American Knight and I noticed that the nipple on the breech plug is split. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem. This is the second nipple to split.

I also need to find a replacement nipple.

Many times nipples will crack or split because they are not tight to the breech plug, or they are a cheap nipple. Order any nipple, stainless steel, that fits a Knight or Thompson Center rifle 1/4-28.

That some time work harden. Throw it away and make sure the new one sits square and tight on the breach plug and the hammer is hitting it square. I would recommend a ampco or stainless steal nipple for replacement. Lee
