Default muzzle loader velocity

Just wondering what kind of velocities you guys with chronographs are seeing out of your muzzle loaders. I have a chronograph just havent had a chance to shoot mine through it yet. Im shooting a 200 grain shockwave over 120 grains of 777 2f powder. My guess is Im somewhere around 2200fps to 2300fps, hopefuly Ill get a chance to confirm soon.

You are correct, you should be 2150-2250 fps.

Your elevation from sea level can change that velocity more than a lot of people think.
Around here you would get 2130 to 2150 with a good tight sabot, at higher elevations more. Lee
