What are your fall/ winter plans?

Well, our bow season starts September 19th in Minnesota, and then gun season starts the first part of November, so if I havnt filled my tag by then, I will hunt the gun season, but i will be using my new Genesis ML. Gun season runs for 4 days for me, so after that I will be back out with my bow. Then if I still have not crossed paths with something I want to shoot, our ML season starts the weekend after Thanksgiving, and runs for 3 weeks straight. If I still have a tag left after ML season, I can hunt till December 31st with my bow. It really sucks having only 1 tag for the whole year.

Just deer with the ML for me this year- I'll probably only be able to go a couple days or so like last year because of my work/school schedule & the fact that I have to travel 7 hours to go hunting. I'll be using the same load as last year since I haven't been able to work up a new one - 200 grain XTP with 95 grains T7. I won't pass up a coyote if I see one either, but no luck there so far.

Going to my aunt and uncles place for early ML season. She's got a couple deer that have been wreaking havoc on her garden that she wants terminated. I'll be hunting with my Savage 10ML-II with 300 grain Barnes Expander MZ bullets and AA-5744 smokeless powder. This is my "lights out" load for the Savage.

i plan on archery hunting the first 2 weeks in Oct., the 3rd week going to texas for bison (archery). Then back into the tree stand just in time for the rut and hopefully arrow that big 8 pt I saw on my trail cam.
thankgiving week, up to the camp for bear. going to try again to bust one with the muzzy. Then its rifle deer - probably use the knight if I didn't arrow that buck. The a couple weeks delay and the primitive (flintlock) season.

My son & I got drawn for either sex elk and the season runs Sept 1 to Sept 30(Archery, muzzy & rifle combined). From Oct 1 to Oct 31 is muzzy season for either sex whitetail & antlerless mule deer (earn a buck after 2 antlerless mulies). Rifle season for whitetail and mulies run Nov15 to Dec 7. That will be enough for this year.

Come oct 1 gonna give my new Diamond bow a try for a couple of weeks then our 1st ML season will open that lasts for 9 days, then its back to bow hunting till the rifle season opens nov 14. The friday after Thanksgiving its off to Ohio with my wife for 6 days of MLing. I'm hoping to take a trip to the hill country of Texas in Dec for some deer hunting. I reckon I will finish off the season with the 3 days ML hunt in Dec and the 3 days after Christmas rifle hunt here in Arkansas. I have all my vacation and holidays saved up to take off and I cant wait. YeeeeeeeHaaaaaaa
