TC Shockwave Regular vs. Superglide

TC Shockwave Regular vs. Superglide
I've been checking out the shockwaves as of late and have shot the regular four petal black sabot. Does anyone shoot the yellow Superglide sabot and find it easier to load or get better accuracy with it like they claim? I'm just looking for another small advantage come time for hunting season and wanted to know if anyone had experienced any kind of differences between the two. Any help is appreciated.

It's really up to your barrel, there is no reason a looser sabot shoot shoot more accurately necessarily -- I have found the opposite to be true more often than not.
The real place for the superglide I think is if you have a tight bore and the regular ones are TOO tight and a pain to load. For example my Omega needs a hammer if I am to load the 250SW in the regular black sabot, if I wanted to shoot that bullet I'd need superglide sabots.

I have an Omega an Triumph and an Endeavor none of them will group with the super glide sabot all of them group well with the regular balck Shock Wave sabot [which is MMP-HPH 24] about 1.5 to 1.7 average what they all do best with SW 250gr bullets is the Short Black Harvester sabot. Lee

The superglide shoots great out of my Triumph. It is extremely accurate. I have taken about a dozen deer with them. I get good groups out to 200 yards and it loads easy compared to the regular shockwave. I can't get the black sabot to load without a real fight.

It really comes down to the bore size if you happened to have one of the vary tight like .497 or .498 they are much easier to load and shoot well if you happened to have a .500 or a .501 then the Black ones work best. All mine are .500 or the Endeavor which is .505. unless you know how to check your bore size and have a mike you about have to buy one package of each and try them. Lee

My TC Encore is capable of consistent 1" groups with the 250 grain SST/Shockwave in the hard to load black or red sabot. It makes 2-3" groups with the same bullet and the Hornady Low drag sabots. The Superglides are all over the place.

For now I'm happy with how the hard to load black sabots shoot. I'll get out a few more times before season and test the triumph. If it's shooting good then I won't try to improve it. It was quite consistant the other day. Thanks for the input.
