Is there no end to the lengths this man will go to try to discredit Savage? Talk about a vendetta....

Pretty pathetic to log onto another forum under an anonymous user name and act like you don't have an axe to grind....

I do not own one, have not shot one, have never even seen one shot... but for the time being I honestly do not know what might be real and what is not... The fact is any ML - can blow up and a few of them do. I just hope it is not one that i or anybody I know is shooting.
So what is right? and what might be wrong? do not think i will speculate at this time -just do not know enough...

I am not sure what to think of Mr. Bridges' report. Were this a court room.. the information he has is called hearsay. IE: A Canadian who wishes to remain anonymous reports (to Mr. Bridges)his rifle failed. Mr. Brisdges reports this person's events. And compares them to his own. Other then this statement, we are to take all of this at their word.
I don't wish to seem unsympathetic to the report of the rifle failing. If it did, and someone was injured.. to me that is a tragic event. To portray the Savage as dangerous based on lack of expert testimony and hearsay.. it does not work for me.
Like Sabotloader said, any rifle can fail if misused. Maybe even for nothing the shooter did to create the failure. Its can happen no matter what we shoot. Anything can break. Lets hope these four events mentioned by Mr. Bridges is all there will be in the thousands of Savage rifles sold. What was ever determined by experts as the reason Mr. Bridge's Savage failed and blew up?

As I replied in that thread, something here doesn't add up. A poster with a low post count appears and bashes the Savage, but claims they are proud of theirs and keep shooting it. I don't know about you, but if I really believed a gun design was flawed enough to come on a forum and fight about it you can bet you couldn't pay me to fire it without a 20 foot string attached to the trigger.
I mean, if you're going to go on a personal campaign against someone/some company at least think it through enough that it isn't so obvious....
I used to be indifferent and withhold judgement on the whole thing, but if 4 of these things have blown why would they only be communicating through Bridges, knowing he has a tarnished reputation? I certainly wouldn't.
