sorry guys it looks like the day is over due to rain. I had just finished packing my new sand bucket when the rain started up. Some scary looking lightning and thunder going on now.
i did get 6 powerbelts out of my sand bucket. That sand by the way after packing it and having it rained of for 4+ days looked like clay when i pulled them out. I'll post some of the recovered PB pics later on after i resize them.

Not that great but im getting ready to try out winchester w209 primers. This target was at 70 yards with 80gr pyrodex rs, 777 primer and the 385gr buffalo bullet. Not sure what i did on #2 shot. Its cleared up now so i will set up a new target and use an orange dot this time.
those tiny holes are .22's

im not pleased with myself today at all. On the second outing i noticed i again forgot to change to my shooting glasses, which meant this dot looked like a blur. # 2 on my first shot i went and tried to eliminate shooter error by putting the front bead all the way down into the rear and i fired. Shot #1 over shot the target greatly. I was very pleased with shot #2 ( its the highest) # 3 had me wondering until i remember my previous outing and 2 of the 3 shots were right at 6 o'clock. Feeling pretty crappy that i was rushing this range trip.
These bullets are really firm to get down the bore. The rifling wants to spin the bullet as i push down but the force from the fixed loading jag makes it hard on me. A spin jag would be great.
tomorrow i'll do my best to remember my shooting glasses and not to mess with sight picture [:'(]
I used the W209 primer and liked it a lot better. Much cleaner!
2" dot,

woo hoo!! I found some weaver bases in my dresser. I mounted them on and will order the durasight rings. I was going to go all out on this one and get the QD rings and 1 piece base but screw it, why spend that kind of money on something im just going to use for range work.
I got black bases so i'll get the black rings and mount my silver bushnell trophy scope on it. That ought to look nice.
