Lets get some opinions and have fun

#1 Of all the muzzleloader rifles you have owned... if you could only keep one. Which one would you keep? Why?

#2 Of all the muzzleloaders you have seen or read about. If the good muzzleloading fairy was going to leave you a present under your pillow, which non custom (in other words, factory assembly) muzzleloader would you like to wake up to? Why? (and these can not be sold for profit)

#3 If you did not own any muzzleloaders. BUT had the knowledge and experience you had with muzzlelaoder that you do. Would you still buy the same rifles over again? Or would you change your buying habits and purchase totally different?

Also lets put a kicker on this.. no scopes would be allowed on these rifles.

1 Without a doubt It would be my White U-M, It shoots conicals very well accurate as can be, I go to Co. for deer/elk and its conicals only.

2-Nula

3- I would start with the U-M instead of a Renegade

1- My 700ML. It shoots sabots and conicals very well. Honestly, I don't NEED anything else besides it now.

2- Any White ML. I'm not picky, the muzzleloader fairy can surprise me :D

3- Yep, but I'm not someone that buys on impulse. I also don't buy in excess so I'm very choosy in my guns. I currently do not regret any of my currenty purchases.

I'd keep the one I made in the late 80s...I've only got one factory made muzzleloader, a Knight Disc, it seems as good as any factory made gun...

Yep, I'd buy the same all over...My third gun is the first I ever bought in 1977...I got lucky on that one, it's a Bob Watts flintlock and I paid less than $500 for it...I've been offered $3,000 for it...

1. My MK-85 Predator. Used it for hunting with the irons before scopes were allowed and with a scope after they became legal. Was a lucky gun for me.

2. White Super 91 in .451. I have the .451 Whitetail, but the Super 91 handles recoil better and has the classic look. Should have kept it.

3. My first MZwas the .50 T/C Hawken ('72... i.e. 1972) :D That was a great one to start with; everybodyhad one... I'd do that again no question.

1- This one is kinda tough for me cuz I only have one ML. T/C Omega. I love it.

2- White

3- Im not one for extra bells and whistles. I did a lot of research before I bought my Omega and I liked it then for the same reasons I like it now. Its a hunting tool. Basic, dependable, accurate, inexpencive. I figured it was the best bang for my buck. And I still do. There are more expencive MLs out there but they all do the same thing. Just like a flyrod. I have 2 Sage Flyrods and I have caught just as many fish with my St. Croix as I have with my Sages.

Omega X7 I know boring. But it would work great with a peep. The ML fairy could bring me a gray laminate stock for it & Id be happy.

As much as I like inlines if I could only have one gun[my wife alows no more than 20 says we don't have room for more than that] it would be the Hawken I built in 80 from a set of plan taken from the one in the ST louis Museum.
But why would anyone ever be limited to one gun? Lee

1- I would keep my 50cal NULA. Why, it needs nothing done to it at all. It can shoot BH209, Pyrodex, 777, and Smokeless powders. It's all around a great Muzzleloader and very accurate.

2-I would say right now the Knight Ultimate Slam. Why, because it really seems like a great ML to me. And Knight cured the blow back issues.

3- I would buy the same Muzzleloaders again.

Since you did not limit the fairy to rifles, I would like her to leave a 20 ga. double under my pillow. I would love to rabbit and grouse hunt with black powder.
