Default BC Rusty Walnut

Great stuff! I just finished stripping my kentucky's stock and then hit it with 320 grit sand paper and rubbed 2 coats of birchwood casey rusty walnut stain. Beautiful color! I want atleast 5 coats of them stuff on and then the original oil finish goes on.

This stuff really does high light the figure in the wood.

Just to compair. 2 coats VS 6 coats. The forearm also got a thin rubbing of Original Oil Finish. The OOF seems like it will finally give me the look i have been after.

Also did a bit of work on the lock area as you can see. I just wish i would have had more wood to work with but i guess thats the down fall when you order it complete and not the kit.

OK MD - You finally made a mistake. You didn't hideMY Mountain Rifle good enough in that first picture. I see it there behind the chair. Now you better send to me priority mail today or I'm calling the ML police.
BTW, that stock is coming along fine. Post some pics when its complete.

Nah, that ain't it, I thought it was that purty stocked 54.
I just gotta get me a CVA MOuntain rifle. I'm partial to T/Cs but I do like that CVA model.
