RE: Spring Time shooting for a White Ultra Mag
In fact I was going to shoot them today but changed my mind. Now it looks like we have a blizzard headed my way, so I have to shoot early tomorrow. Might get that done. And you said with a 1-48 twist to shoot about 100 grains of black powder.. right?

Boy that 777 2f with the 460 Bull Stops really shot tight. Very nice.I think if you shot in 3" high at 100 those Bull Stops could shoot to 150 no problem. Chap

Chap - the funny part was, as I kept shooting and they just kept piling up in that hole, it kind of amazed me. I was expecting a flier any time. BUT I concentrated on the rifle hold and sight picture and also trigger control. Looks like it paid off.
I also think if I were headed out west for an elk hunt, I would sight in three inches high at 100 yards and then be ready for about anything that would cross my path. |

That is some really good shooting.
