RE: Is Cabelas really for the Muzzleloader Hunter?
I have the Cabela's Visa Club Card also. I buy a lot of hunting clothes there, but rarely MZ stuff or other shooting related items, because Midsouth andNatchez have much better pricing.
So no... Cabelas is not for the MZ hunter. |

IMO, anywhere that sells muzzleloading supplies is "For the muzzleloader hunter" no matter how expensive it is. Otherwise they probably wouldn't sell it. If you think it's too expensive, do like me and shop around a little. There's always a greatdeal to be found somewhere.

RE: Is Cabelas really for the Muzzleloader Hunter?
Any company can have things cheaper on some and more on others...for me, the conviencance, and the SERVICE I get from Cabelas is worth the extra price on some things. I have never had a bad experience from cabelas...and of course, the club points do add up...got new shoes for work for free b/c of the points dollars I had accumulated. But, that Natchez sure has some good prices it looks like on muzzleloader stuff.

RE: Is Cabelas really for the Muzzleloader Hunter?
I used to live 20 minutes from a Cabelas and I miss the convenience. It is truly one-stop shopping. I agree most things in their store are priced higher than you may find at other stores. HOWEVER, they carried a large variety of ML products which means you have lots of options. So when I pay a buck or two more for something there I keep in mind that they charge a higher price (on most everything) because they maintain a huge inventory.
Now that I don't live close to cabelas I no longer consider them a primary resource for ML supplies. I know what I need and I can get it locally or online for less at other places. I wil drive there (45 min) when my credit card fills up with "bucks" and then typically buy clothing or other toys. For me it is still fun to just go there with the kids, look at the fish and mounts and scour the cave for deals. Tom |

To each his own, I never started there because of the prices. I shop Powder Valley, Graf & Sons, Midway and Midsouth and have been thinking about taking a 45 minute drive to MMP. Lee
