very nice figure in that wood. I tried rusty walnut from birchwood casey and that chit really high lights it and pops it out. I got some really "nasty' figure on my traditions stock in the forearm and it brought it out and catches your eye.

I may hold off on any refinishing work until stuff settles down here.
gotta more stuff. may be offline until tomorrow.
still making up my mind about what color furniture I am going to put on it.

Shoot Corey that stock looks pretty good the way it is.... Just get some 0000 steel wool and rub the finish with that - then apply some BC stock wax - It will look really good...

Cory have you ever tiger striped a stock? They used to wrap a string around the stock then burn the string it will leave Back stripes. My neighbor used to do this to all his custom smokepoles.

well, I started rubbing the stock with 0000 steel wool, found an number of places that the finish chipped down to the wood.
looks like refinishing would be in order
