Default New style + Old style=Good groups

I wanted to do some more testing on my new scope, all the ranges are closed monday and tuesday.I was needing a two hundred yard range, and my woods are just to thick. So as i'm sitting around i thought i would try something different.

I grabbed the pro hunter, goex FFg superfine,(80 grains)speer .490 round ball and some patches, all contents besides gun are 20 some years old.I was switching between rem. kleenbore and win.209 primers. To see if any change.Set the target at 50 yards.

The 1 and 2 with the arrows, displays going to the center as i set the scope.I might try this load at the range tomorrow.I had a lot of fun with it.

Not bad at all for a fast twist round ball load. Should work well for anything you want to shoot up to WT size, maybe bigger. Next time out try it at 100 yards and see how it holds up.

and people will tell you inlines will not shoot roundball. I've been telling for years of how my Wolverine with a light powder charge is deadly with roundball. Nice shooting there. That shows some real promise.

I have found if you drop the load down a notch or two they shoot pretty good

I've never tried balls in my Mustang. Seems kinda strange - I've got the balls (no comments please) but never tried them even though I'veshot just about everything else out of that gun. That's a darn good 50 yard group you've got there Junkie. I guess I'll have to try balls one day with something like 60 grains. Ought to make a dandyload for off hand plinking and bunniesif it groups like that.
