What about a Ruger 10/22 with a cheap Simmons scope? They are fun guns to just shoot. Another gun I really like is the Ruger Charger Although I'm seeing them for about $300.

If you want a shotgun there are the Mossberg and Remington 870 express you could probably find around that price. Probably cheaper if you go used.

If I had 250 bucks and wanted a shotgun, I would get a 870 express 3.5 inch.Great turkey and goose gun.

Corey get you a TK2000 shotgun muzzy, they are on the Auction sites now for that price and many are new in box. I've had mine for years and have taken turkeys at 60 yards. It is a shooter as I've got rid of all of my other shotguns as a result of it's performance.

Williams gun sight Davison Michigan. Plus a whole bunch more.

Don't thing the T/C stuff is much cheaper than brand new though.

I would go with a Remington 870 Magnum Express and a Tasco 2.5x shotgun/BP scope:

This model of 870 comes with a rifled barrel and is deadly accurate out to 100 yds. I hae not tried to shoot it farther. I have harvested many deer with this combination!

Oh ok. Just wondering. I really like the Marlin MLS 50 muzzle loaders but that's a little too far from me.
