best thing to happen in America would be if all US Congress members were to suddenly die of stupidity...

There is something else going on here. Listen carefully to this and take note of the quoted part below the video. http://secondpagemedia.com/blog/?p=64

Who did that and why do we not hear more about it?

Amen to what Spaniel said. I think about the expression used to describe the folks that lived during ww2: the greatest generation of all. Then I think about what happening now and i guess we are the generation of spoon fed candy asses that haveallowed knuckleheads in government run our great country into ground. it was known for years that government was encouraging banking institutions to make risky loans to folks that couldnt afford them but nothing was done.I couldnt believe I saw a Bill Clinton interview the other day and he slightly took some of the blame for pushing this practice. but all we hear from obama is the failed practices of the last 8 years.Sorry , just venting

I agree that was a terrorist attack, but by whom? Why has this been ignored? Or am I the last one to know?

Let's also remember it's not just the gov't or bankers at fault here. Every person who made the decision to participate in this mess -- be it maxing out their cards on crap they didn't need and couldn't afford or taking a mortgage their finances wouldn't support -- is equally to blame. The politicians will never say that as they would lose votes but I don't run for office.

I bought my house during the latter part of the craziness. They pushed me on an adjustable rate loan - NO. They approved me for 100% higher than I could really afford - NO thank you, I'll stay with what I can pay even if one of us loses our job. 30 year fixed rate, thank you. Rush me out of the signing meeting - NO, thank you, your impatient butts can sit there and wait while I read every single word of the most expensive contract I am likely to sign in my life.

again , i agree. my wife and i have always lived within our means. we have never had more then 500 bucks on a credit card. the worst thing we ever did was not save adequately for our daughters college expenses. we just got thru paying off 28000 bucks in college loans, some how some way God has blessed us both with good jobs and good common sense. i sure never realize how many small companies borrowed their payrolls month to month. strange days ahead for sure.

Can some one tell me what my cut of the Honey Bee money is going to be? When can I expect a check? I just sold 20 pounds of honey to a mead maker in Texas so had to buy mor 3 pound jars and could reall use the money to buy more.

I send e mails about once a week to our senators snd congress persons. I tell them I am mad they give the money so freely to the damm banks, where the small fry gets the big pink pp and those rich hogs get and want more. I say most americans have less in a bank than FDIC covers so let those banks crash and burn like they did in the 30's. From the ashes will arise new banks and the small fry was covered by the FDIC which is cheaper for the tax payers in the end I bet.

I'm all for putting americans to work. Place a huge big humgus tariff on all the products comeing to this country for companies based here that moved the production jobs to a slave labor country. Make it more worth while to move production back to American if your going to sell here.

But what do I know, I guess I am just another liberal.

Al
