Cay...You just reminded me of a joke...

The difference between a blue collar worker and a white collar worker???

The white collar worker washes his hands after taking a leak...The blue collar does this before...

This is probably just another attempt to fuel the Anti's with more stuff to attack our Great Sport of Hunting!

I have always heard that when a person/animal consumes pieces of lead, it passes through the digestive tract too fast to have any appreciable absorption. That is not true for birds though because the lead fragments will lodge in the gizzard which a bird uses to grind its food. So while I don't really worry about it for me, there seems to be an increased risk for birds of prey that feed on gutpiles.

I've read that before and the only people who are agreeing with that are their people and people who don't know any better. It's pretty much BS. People have been shooting deer with lead bullets forever and this issue just now comes up?... Either way, I shoot Barnes Bullets so it doesn't affect me.

I read a bit on that some where a year or so a go, it turn out that some of that donated venison they found lead in had been taken with a bow when they checked on it. I would guess that either some one had been chasing them out of the garden with small shot or that there was some thing fish smelling about the study the anti made. Lee

It just sounds like something some anti-gun lib got some scientist to make up. More fuel for their anti-gun compaign.

I love these people that all ways seem to have an opion about hunting, when they have NO idea what they are talking about. I wonder if this dematoligst would like us to post our PROFESSIONAL opions about skin care on a DR web blog!

ORIGINAL: nchawkeye

Did you guys notice toward the end they had a guy climbing down a home made stand, looked like cedar poles nailed between 2 trees...He had no climbing harness on...Talk about dangerous!!!

There are many more hunters that will fall out of tree stands and get killed or crippled than will be affected by lead damage from eating deer meat...
Yeah...I though it was kind of funny talking about safety and the guy is performing one of the more dangerous hunting acts as he attemps to climb out of his stand.

LaneNebraska iscorrect when he speaks about the balance provided by Falcone's link. I did find the original link interesting but some balance is needed.
