Default where do you all buy your powder?

I have been using triple se7en in my 50 and 54 cal renegades. Both guns shoot it very accuratley and Id like to stay with it but my local gun shop wants $27.99 for a pound of it and $17.99 for pyrodex. I want to stay with the triple se7en, but I may have to switch out to the pyrodex because of the price difference. Do any of you guys order your powder in bulk and get it any cheaper than that with shipping and hazzerdous fees? if so where do you order it from? Or would you just switch over to the pyrodex? Im probally wrong but Ive been told that pyrodex is more likely to misfire because of it being more sensitive to seating pressure and when hunting in wet conditions and triple se7en is a better choice than the pyrodex for a black powder substitute. And around here you pay $30 a pound for ffg black powder.

I have used pyrodex since it first came out, I tried all the others now I am back to pyrodex for everything that wont shoot Blackhorn, I like it much better than 777 and it ignites easier. I seen the temperature it takes to ignite all the powders on a web page a while back and the only powder that takes a higher flame temperature to ignite it than 77 is Blackhorn. Don't worry about that if you were igniting 777 you wont have any trouble igniting pyrodex.
As for buying powder over the net

If 777 is what you want to use you can get it here for 17.70 a can, with a 20 dollar hazmat that makes it 19.70 and around 10 for shipping so if you buy a case of 10 cans thats about 20.70 a can. Lee

I wait until Wal Marts end of the season sale. I just picked up eight pounds of Triple Seven 2f and eight pounds of Pyrodex RS and it was a lot cheaper then normal.

I have ordered if in bulk, but the only way to save any money is buy large amounts of the powder...

While black powder is dirty and leaves fowling, it is one of the most consistent shot to shot powder I have ever used in muzzleloaders. Fowling can be swabbed out of the bore, and all guns have to be cleaned. So black powder is a good choice. It might take a little longer to clean up but it is a good powder.

gees, that is better than what one gun shop is selling it for, if I remember, $23.95.

sadly I know what gun shop your talking about the price of pyrodex. kinda why I am running low.

the other two are $19.99 for pyrodex rs and p, and triple 7 2f to 3f runs 24.99 to 27.99.

bh209 is 34.99

the coop is is the same as the other on pyrodex and triple 7

I use Blackhorn 209 so I can get it at Bass Pro. But I stocked up a little while back when I bought some from Midway USA to take advantage of the HAZMAT fee.
