I bet too that your groups will be better using a 209 primer. From what I've seen. But I don't think the BH209 bug is going to get me. I'm happy with my BP and Pyrodex. I guess I just have more will power than you Semi. After all I quit smoking last April. Not the only smoke I make is with the ML.

I used my 25 acp breech plug in my encore same as your omega I had no hang fires and good groups. I use 209's in it just because I don't have to reprime. The 25 acp I used with T7 because of crud ring. I agree that long flash hole is causing yor problems. The 209 may cure it as you will get a hotter longer flame also run a wire or needle through the channel and some hoppies no 9 it disolves the carbon better. I also use a 1/8 th drill bit by hand in the larger primer port. I will only shoot BH209 in my for encore for hunting now. It is just that much better. I use Pinacle for fun shooting and 209 with win or federal primers shooting. If you waht a 25 acp breech plug for your omega let me know I have 3 of them.

I WAS going to try this powder to test, but after hearing so much about ignition and hangfire issues, I'll just stick with my junky ol Shockey gold that gives me cloverleafs quite a bit of the time.

If you read SB it might just be a breech plug issue, not the powder. There is far more positive on this sub than negative.

before i knew better i got some bh and loaded it in my mk85 using the 209 conversion breech kit in it.i was shooting 100gr behind a 300gr dead center bullet, i shot about 8 rounds. i was using cci 209m primers. i never had a hangfire or a misfire. what bothered me was the tremendous amount of backblast gases around my face.then i sent a post in to modern muzzleloader and also called knight. i found out quickly that i had the wrong breechplug for this powder. i loved the way it cleaned up and how accurate i was.i am now looking to get a triumph so i can be more versatile in what i shoot. i sure am sentimental about my ol mk85 tho.

Well the wife has read over my shoulder now and then, and last week at the Sports store she accused me of being related to you. They had a two for the price of one sale and when I found out that the Blackhorn powder was included I told him I wanted all he had, ended up with 16 cans for the price of 8. When I paid for it she said I think you must be related to that one they call Semisane. I just never know what she will come up with next. Lee
