45 cal and 325 grains....I wonder where the BC will come in on that. If you could push it accurately with a full magnum charge (and not mind the recoil), that may compete with Shockwave ballistics of all weights.

No, but are they going to be introduced at the Shot show? The .458s work great in a Black Crushed rib for me. Chap

My impression is that they are not bonded but with a double cannalure and 325 gr weight Ido not believethey need to be. If they are as acccurate as the other SW's they should be a good elk bullet. I also believe that the price will drop when they are available through distributers. Lee

RE: What might be the next Shock Wave?
I have the new catalog that will be unveiled @ shot show this year. This last year The old hard red tip SST was a Hornady part 240 grain # 67272 w/ the black sabot. The new is the flex tip low drag red sabot 240 grain# 67273 if memory serves me. The 67272 was what I was using and now was JUST closed out. I tried the new low drag for this season and they shot the same w/ the same impact point. Just a side note about that new flex material: Hornady also came out w/a new critical defense round too in 380, (great for the Keltec and Ruger LCP)9mm, 38 spc and +P replacing the XTP because the flattened flex material does not allow for "leather" or cloth to be impacted in the HP.The material also helps mushroom better and the new bullet design prevents spin on impact so you get full and complete expansion.
I will see what the new part # is for you.
