Default pyro v 777 (not a which one is better post)

hey all.

OK so i usually use 50/50 pyro pellets and i shoot 2 pellets.

so this weekend i couldn't get any pyro pellets and had to get the triple 7, and when i opened them i noticed they are a bit smaller then the pyro pellets Ive been using. so i double checked and they are 50/50 pellets.

just wondering even though it says they are 50g pellets, they don't look it. and I'm thinking should i use 3 777 pellets instead of 2?? or would it be better to use the 2 as i only shoot 100g of powder?? taking in mind when i put the 3 triple 7 pellets next to 2 pyro pellets they are almost the same height stacked on top of each other.

They are supposed to give approximately the same velocity but the burning rate and the powder residue is different so you need to shoot them and check your point of impact before you hunt with them. Since it can also change the barrel whip or vibration it may also change the group size. Lee

With the BP sub pellets, when they say 50 they are not referring to weight or volume but that the pellet has the same energy as 50 of BP. The pellet may be smaller and probably weighs less but don't be fooled, the power is all there.

Never try to judge a powder by the size of its grains. The pellets give the same velocity. Triple Seven is a stronger powder so in order to do that, they had to reduce the amount of powder in the Triple Seven pellet.. hence the smaller size. Same power mind you, small size. Three Triple Seven pellets should give about the same velocity as three of the Pyrodex RS. Just in a smaller size/amount.
