place I am planning to hunt is an mile hike to the first clearing. the clearing I like to hunt is 2 and half miles. the other option is hunting around the house. where I have not seen anything during the day for 2 weeks or more.

the gun chose is still up in the air, most likely take both and decide which before I goto bed.

All us guys feel really bad for you and your hurt foot. While I am here at work today I'll be thinking about your foot and how painful it must be to be out hunting. HA

Shoot a nice one Corey. I feel for you on the pain. I'm having back surgery on Feb 5th to repair bone spurs and stenosis in my L2-5 disks. I was doing fine with steroid injections all summer and fall until two weeks ago during the Illinois MZ season. I really tore things up draging my doe out a couple a hundred yards........all hell broke loose on the ole spine.But, they say the can fix me so Feb is a good time to be laid up.
