Yup, and it's got one of those dangerous Spanish barrels.... Even though I've never heard of one blowing up.....

BARRELS BLOWING UP!!!!!!!!. please tell methat's not true. i am VERY new to muzzleloaders, a barrel blowing up in my face would really turn me off to muzzleloading.

ps. i don't have any decent pictures of the actual gun yet. i can't seem to find the camera. i think my wife has it at work.

The Genesis is under the Remington name, imported through Traditions. So technicallyyes it is a Traditions. As for the barrel blowing up.. I would not get too excited. Granted every time we load these rifles, we are technically making a pipe bomb that will fail (we hope). That's why you never plug the end of your barrel with anythingbecause then they do not fail. Load the rifle according to manufacturer's recommendations and with common sense and you will be fine.

The receiver is some sort of lighter alloy - probably (hopefully) has a lot of aluminum in it. The finish on the receiver is horrible. Looks nice when shiny new. Looks terrible after it suffers wear and scratches. Black Ice or Duracoat would probably/maybe work well on it.

Cayugad works for Cabelas under the radar Heck he could retire on the commissions from the Genesis alone.
