Default WV Opener---Tomorrow

Our WV opening day for MZ is tomorrow. It is a bit late in the year. But it is normally when we have the most fun. Plus it is colder out so we can let deer hang longer. MZ season is usually our meat hunting season.

There arethree 8-points left so I am going to hunt them for the first couple of days. I shot one of them(there were 4) with my deer rifle a couple of weeks ago, now I would like to get one with my MZ. There is a bigger 12 point on the farm, but he has vanished. Oh well a couple of does will also do finely. WV allows a bunch of deer with a MZ. Tom.

BP season is always my favorite. I made up my mind, this year I am using the flintlock only. No inlines this year. My Knight LRH has ruined me. That rifle shoots like a high powered rifle. Now what fun is that?? Tom.

I had one certain trail that I wanted to sit and watch Monday afternoon, but it looks like it is going to rain all afternoon. I guess I am going to have to rough it. Tom.

To make it a bit more challenging, take your scope of an shoot a peep sight, or buy a cap lock .54 and shoot PRB with open sights , take only <= 75 yard shots at only 6 points or more, sight in 2" high at 50. That will be make you a 50 yard bow hunter with a MLer.

Tom, Nice roughing it. I like the mobility. I use this, more mobile, use on any tree. Always carry it in my knap sack. I like your, but it would be tough getting it into some places I hunt.
