Default apex and disc extreme (fast session)

temp, 40
winds 10 to 15 gust of 20
sunny

got to the range no one was there. cool, went to the 25yrd range to sight in the apex. 3 shot sight in. moved over to the 50 to 150 yrd range. start out shooting the disc extreme shooting 250gr xtps with 85grs of pyrodex rs 3 shot 4 in group.

next to up was the apex. first shot was low to the left. adjust. almost put the second shot in the same hole as the first. did not tap the cheap scope that I have on it. 3rd shot 4in high of the bulls. 4th shot touching the 3rd, 75grs of triple 7 2f.

back to the disc extreme. to 90grs of pyrodex and 250gr xtp. 3 shots 3in vertical group. rest, 95grs same bullet 2in triangle group. (more powder better groups.

moved to 100yrds.
apex up, first and only shot at 100yrds 1 right of bulls. called it quits on that gun. 270gr 45cal hp powerbelt.

disc extreme. 100grs pyro rs, 3in group left of bulls.

switched to the knight red hots 250grs (barnes) same charges
first shot was low. adjust. second 1/2in below the bulls. small adjust, jerked on the third, only an inch from the second. total group 3.5in.

only one blonde moment on this session. on the apex, I forgot to load an bullet on the charge and packed the charge. too soon for smokepole firecrackers.

gotta see the smile on my face after this session. only took me 3 hours to set off close to 30 charges.

I'll get pics up when I get some time. long weekend. won't be on much.

is that rifle scoped? It looks like a stronger charge produces better accuracy. What do you think?

barnes, knight red hots added, this are really hard to load with the sabots that came with them. I am going to pick up some harvester crushed ribs after the first of the year.

100grs of pyrodex rs at 100yrds.
