ORIGINAL: UncleNorby T/C makes a set of mounts/rings that fit. They are called gorilla grip or something like that. Got mine at WallMart for like $20. The make regular and see-thru mounts. You couldn't give me a set of see-thru mounts, but that's me. The regular mounts put the scope at the right height for me. |

I suppose they have some practical application, i.e., you can use the irons if there's something wrong with your scope. I just don't like the looks of them, they raise the scope to a height that usually doesn't feel rightto me, and they are never as solid a system as normal mounts. Maybe the difference in accuracy is negligible for most hunting shots, but I just don't like them.
