Default white stuff on round balls?

When I was getting some gear together for next weeks late season I noticed that my round balls have a white chalky substance on them. Will this have any effect on them or should I not worry about it. It looks like they oxidized or something.

No big deal. They do that. If you want to get rid of it dump the balls on a piece of cloth, put a little oil on them, and rub them around together.

No it will not hurt accuracy or anything else. You can remove it if you want. I just shoot 'em.

That white stuff on your balls won't hurt - but please take a shower once in a while and it won't build up. Same thing used to happen to me on those week long tent hunts until I started carrying unscented baby wipes....

Yeah bronko, the white stuff is OK. But when it starts to get green spots it's time to end the hunt and head home.
