Default 300 grain Knight Red Hots

Just bought a pack of 10 to try some time. Just wondering if any Omega owners use or have tried these bullets (Barnes)with the supplied sabots. I am curious in regards to accuracy, ease of loading, and what powder charge.

I tried them a couple years ago. they shot great with 100 gr. of 777 or pyrodex. They shot low with APP. They loaded so hard in my Omega that i decided to use something else. But then again everything that isn't crush rib or super glide sabot loads hard . I think my Omega is just tighter than many.

Accuracy in great in my CVA Wolf with 100gr Pyrodex pellets and W209 primer with Crushed Rib sabots. 1 inch groups at 100 yards. I know you asked about them in a Omega but I just had to butt in....... Heres a pic of the Expander 300gr I recovered from my small buck last weekend.

The Knight Red Hots are Barnes MZs.I have shot 300g Barnes MZ out of my Omega with 100g of loose 777 with the supplied sabot and a Win primer. 1.5" group at 100 yards, got a 6 point and a doe on Opening day in the PM with them, boom flop on the doe and the buck ran a whole 20 yards and piled up. Shoot thru on both and excellent expansion and shoot thru on those bullets. I hightly recommend them, they are expensive, but I buy the Traditions brand of the same thing and get them for about 1/2 price during the summer. I bought 60. So I will have them for muzzy season for the next few years.

These are the Red Hots I am talking about:

exactly the same as the Barnes MZ:

Chap,
Those are the same bullets but I have the black sabots.
They should work, try 100g of loose 777. If they are too tight switch to a different sabot.
