thunde hawk 50 cal. barks again
I have to say my old old thunderhawk 50 cal. did some barking on late saturday afternoon in up state n.y on a doe at 100 yards.I was rain on all day and a good part of the afternoon the thunderhawk was also soaked.
I took a doe for camp meat with the 375 SSB BUFFALO BTHP and 80 grains of triple777.I really did not think it was going to fire but it did the gun had so much water in it after the T Bolt hit the number #11 cap I got a splash of water in my shooting eye.
I have to say the deer stood there after the smoke cleared and I thought I had missed but after a few seconds the doe started to lean to one side and went downfor the count she never took a step.
I had a few buddies make some jokes on my old old t/c thunderhawk they said it was a antique compared to the newer inlines.I have to agree but it has never failed me when it comes to bad weather.I had the flinter in the truck but the way the rain was comming down I did choose the inline.

Congratulations on taking the doe. The older model rifles like the Thunderhawk and Black Diamond and some of the others might be old school rifles, but they will shoot as good as any of the new rifles on the market.
