Genesis Question
I cleaned the Genesis last night and after putting it back together starting to wipe off the exterior I noticed a mark on the scope directly above the cam of the rifle. It looked to be blowback and was really difficult to remove. I had to use steel wool and gun oil to get it off.
Anyone else experience this or is it just my Genesis? From the location of the fouling on the scope it looks to be coming from the barrel:cam interface. |
RE: Genesis Question
Shouldn't be that hard to remove (were you shooting BH209?). Put a piece of duct tape there to protect it in the future. I think they Genesis rifles probably all do or will leak a bit of blowback there.

RE: Genesis Question
I heard of another with the same claim, yet I checked mine the other day and found nothing on the scope that indicated blow back.

RE: Genesis Question
Damn underclocked - you must be a redneck for sure. I was thinking more on the line of electrical tape. A couple wraps. Then if it rains I can put a piece over the muzzle.

RE: Genesis Question

RE: Genesis Question
That's OK - I'm about 85% Redneck. And proud of it.
Anyway, I think I'm goingto give Remington a call on Monday to check if this is common or a problem. |
