Shredded sabots and a good surprise

I came back from the range( which is my pasture
) after shooting my Triumph. I wasn't pleased this time as my sabots on the shockwaves were shredding. It didn't affect the accuracy to much but the groups weren't as good as usual. I was practicing at 150 yards( just in case) and a little disappointed. I decided I might switch to Scorpion Golds but I have the gun sighted in with the shockwaves already and don't really want to fine tune a different bullet this close to the rifle season. Anyway I got home and decided to get the mail before I head over to school the kids. When I got to the post office they had a box from Cabelas. It was the Buckmaster Edition of the Genesis. They sent it by mail instead of on the big brown truck. So that brightened my day a little. Now if I only had time to shoot it. I bet I can squeeze some time in somewhere
. Hopefully. If I do i will let you know how it goes. If it shoots as good as my black/blued one I'll be pleased. OOPS! I mean my wife's black/blued one

Watch out - those slips will get you in trouble!
Colder there today than during your prior shooting sessions?

Well, if your range is your pasture......... I don't know how close your neighbors are, or what kind of people they are, but if you're shooting with a scope you can always shoot at night. Just put a flashlight on the ground about three feet in front of the target and pointing at the target. You will be able to see the target quite well through the scope. Been there - Done that.

West of me I have neighbors about 1/4 mile away
. I go to my east pasture. I don't have any neighbors east for at least seven miles
. No neighbors south and none north for at least a mile or more. Kinda nice. I wish I didn't have neighbors west of me but you can't have it all i guess. I have a 130 acres, so it's a good size sighting range. I usually shoot south because there is nothing back that way except ag fields and tribal land( I live on a Indian Reservation) but I have deeded land.
