Greg, no offense but is it possible that it was not the rifle/scope/load? You would certainly not be the first to "forget to squeeze". ;) But you definitely need to do some more shooting before takiing it out again.

1st question - what kind of scope?
It is a Simmon Aetec 2.8-10x44 2nd question - did I forget to squeeze the trigger? I thought about this and I don't think so but it is a possibility. I was very calm when I saw him. I was in my climbing stand, turned around facing the tree because he came from behind me. I used the tree stand cable and the tree for stability, stopped him with a short bleat and felt very, very steady. But, that is always a possibility. I guess I'll find out when I take it out before next weekend. |

If you braced the side of the gun against the tree it will cause most to shoot off. Lee |
