Default preseason braggin

Since I dont have a deer yet....

Checked the zero on the savage today, at 102 yds 3 shots in 5/8" with 5 shotsopening it to1 1/4". Centerd 2.5" high, I think I'm ready for ML season!!!

Practice 200 and 250 yds if the weather holds up this weekend.

2weeks and a dayto go, cant wait, I got it bad!

mighty fine shooting there. Those Savages are good rifles from all I have read.

What load are you using? I use 40 gr 4759 and a 250SW & mmp sabot . I get about 2'' at 100 which is good enough for me. Im gonna play around w/ those FPBs next spring though. I hate waiting 5 min in between shots, thats why I havent bothered to find a better load.

300g remington .457 hp's in a black crush rib, with 62.5g of reloader7. I have not heard anything good about a fpb in a savage. 42.5g of 4759 was my 2nd best load.

Forget the FPB in the Savage, some guys have tried them and the bases get shredded and they are not accurate Try the Thor, that should hold up to Savage pressures:

The bullet maker has tried them in the Savage with the powder you are using, I believe.
