Why No Reports On BH In A Caplock?
With all of the guys out therehaving gun cabinets overflowing with BlackHorn, I'm surprised there's been no reports of anyone trying it in a caplock with a starter charge of five grains of Pyrodex orGOEX.What ever happened to the spirit of adventure??

Semi
I do not see the point of duplexing... especially while hunting and if your are going to use real BP - even a smal duplexload - you going to have to clean the gun right away any way.
I my limited shooting with BH - it is no more accurate than T7 and only creates a bit more velocity... in fact the POI really does not change significantly...
Then again I read somewhere of a person doing just as you have suggested and it works very well.

I have to agree with Sabotloader.. if the reason you're shooting a powder is to avoid swabbing and cleaning, then why duplex. Also BH should be cleaned with a solvent. So that means the water bath in your traditional rifle would not work to remove the BH from the barrel.

That's what I would think too guys. But I keep seeing these reportsclaimingsignificantly better accuracy with BH than other powders - not so much on this forum, but certainly on Graybeard and Modern Muzzleloading. So I figured someone would surely try it in a caplock in search for accuracy.

Actually I tried it in the inlines and the accuracy was exceptional. Although that rifle shots exceptional with any powder you want to put in it. The no swabbing was sure nice though.
