I saved my brother in laws bore in his inherited TC Hawkin with flitz and a cordless drill and the results were good, not perfect but good.
I have yet to shoot it but compaired to the condition I got it in it should be OK.
Now,I fHE will take care of it is another matter.

Good luck Saxman, I shoot an Optima Pro and love mine. Their customer service is excellent. I had some accuracy issues and when I called to ask what they could do they informed me that they would be replacing the gun. I had a new one within 2 days. If you have a problem with the bore, give them a call.

It's back and not it bad shape.
Six or seven patches and a brush and it's good to go.
No bore butter this time,Rem oil.
I put an old scope on it,simmons 3x9x50 I had it on my Encore when I killed the buck and Doe in Alabama

Hey Saxman, How did you do the job with the flitz? I have an old pitted barrel that I'd like to try and rescue if possible.

I put my spare ram rod in my cordless drill with the gun in a vise, put the flitz on the brush and went to town for a long time.
Seems to have worked.
There are other's you can use also.JB bore paste,Valve grinding compound.
