I think he's hooked on hunting with dad. Nice deer Tyler. I'm taking my 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son out this weekend on a bow hunt in a new ground blind I got. I really don't expect to see anything as I've got binoculars and slate calls for them to see if turkeys come by and a few deer calls for them to mess with. This is their first time so I do not want to concentrate on hunting and get them bored if I just tell them to sit still and be quiet. I'm letting them have fun as it should be so they will look forward to going again and again. I even have an old pellet gun we might shoot if they are behaving. Congrats and smoke another one.

Thanks for the comments guys. We went to the range today and made sure that all of our rifles are ready for gun season which comes in Saturday. Saxman, every father wants to brag on their child but you're right, that boy can shoot. He's still shooting that Ruger .243 and was driving tacks at 100 yards. The trick with that small caliber rifle is buller placement. The fact that he shoots quite a bit has a lot to do with it.
