Recovered them all. I still have to wash them and take pics to show. The green and blue expand to the size slightly smaller that a quarter but are thick, really thick. The pellets are really helping with the lead smearing and not allowing them to over expand and get thin.
The Red did the best as they have a good thick shaft at the base of the bullet and mushroom is quite a bit smaller than a quarter. I am going to use the Blue because they grouped the best.
All of them were shot into dry sand which normally puts a lot of stain on the regular powerbelts. I will post some pics to compare the regular VS the Lead pellet filled HP powerbelt.

Top to Bottom.
Shallow HP-
Magnum Tip-
Flat Point- My hunting bullet.

Shallow HP

Previous test with the normal Powerbelt but in Aerotip with Dry sand,

You dont want to see the underside of those
Wasnt worried about the Normal HP's as they also held up great but this is easy enough to do and cheap so i would just like to try it this year.

I think I missed a previous post or thread...are you modifying powerbelts? If so, how are you doing it? They already group pretty good for me, but anything I can try to make them better is all good.
Also, I saw one retailer recently selling powerbelts in bulk packs of 50, but they only had them in 50cal. Do any of you know where I can find bulk packs in 45 cal?

right now powerbelt only offers the bulk pack in 50cal due to it being the most popular. They are available in only 245 and 295 grain. Again, their most popular selling bullet weight.
All i am doing differently is just taking a pellet gun pellet .177 and putting it in place of where the Aerotip goes. It fills in that huge cavity and helps control over expansion and that in turn allows you to push them a little faster without worrying about the bullets fragmenting.
I had no own idea drawn up but no custom bullet mold maker can help me out. I keep getting the excuse that "our molds are to big and will not stay heated long enough"
I have to make my own from the sound of the responses i get from the mold makers.
I want to try the copper plated pellets next when i can find them in town.
