I shot a small buck last night but couldnt find him after 2 hours of looking.
I found him this morning after about 3 hours of looking
He went about 300 yards after a hit that was to far back (my fault)
He went to water and VERY THICK SWAMP.
I salvaged the backstraps and ham's and got the horns.
I was to wore out to go back for more.
I takes a long time to bust through that brush.
He's a 5 point, the fith point is hard to see it faces backwards tworads the skull

congratulations on the buck. Its a shame you did not locate him in an easier to get to spot. I have the same problem where I hunt. If I do not plant them, the work is really cut out for me....

yah man, fill that freezer. I am letting them go so far as I don't want to scare up or let them know I am around. I am hunting a serious buck this year, actually him and/or his brother . But I'm getting hungry for starps in garlic and a cast iron skillet!
