Default CVA Optima Elite Compact

I am wanting to purchase a compact optima elite (same size as the CVA Wolf), but I'm not sure if it will receive the standard size barrels from the standard size guns. Does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks.

FG,
Thanks for the reply. I tried calling CVA today, but they close at 4:00pm. What's with that? Anyhow, I called several other gun stores; including Cabelas and Bass Pro, and no one had an answer for me. Gander Mtn. has one for $245.00, but like it said it's a compact. Does that sound like a good price? Thanks.

Yeah $245 for the complete gun is a really good price.

For options try gunbroker.com Just type in CVA OPTIMA ELITE and there will be a bunch of stuff.

FG,
I'm assuming that you own the compact; so how does it shoot for you? Is it accurate, and how far out to you have confidence with this muzzleloader? Are there any negatives you can think of? Thanks.

i dont own the elite but everything i have read, put it as a winner. Especially the quality barrel.

I shoot the optima which is blackpowder only and i love it. I originally wanted an elite and then the accura came out and i just dont need either one right now as the optima is doing a good job.

With a muzzleloader, 150 yards i feel comfortable with open sights, 175 to maybe 200 yards being comfortable if it were scoped.

It just depends on what you are shooting out of the barrel.
