150grs.? i assume our talking pellets? and your cutting holes at 250 yds? never would have guessed that out of pellets. are you using the supplied yellow sabots? don't tell me you're using the ez-loads, thats way to far fetched.

the endevour and pro hunter barrels are the same. the encore is shorter.

Underclocked.. I agree that the White is without a doubt one of the best shooting rifles, even including my centerfires, that I have ever owned and shot. I just have not tried them at extreme ranges yet. I would guess the .451 with that fancy Bushnell Elite scope on it could do some serious long range shooting.. Someday after more trees are cut down because of the muzzleloaders, I might be pushing two hundred yards in my woods...

Well, the original 26" Encore muzzleloader barrel had a normal 11 thread breech plug that had to be unscrewed with the wrench making it harder with fouling to remove at times, especially if dirty power was used or it wasn't clean for a long period of time. The shorter barrel will also have lower velocities than longer barrels with the same powder charges.

When the Pro Hunter is introduced it has a few new features added. The Flex Tech look was added to the stock and forend of the gun as well as the swing hammer which simply allowed the hammer to be loosened and pivoted to either side. Also the new 28" fluted barrel was born with the new Speed Breech addition adding the 1/4 turn and out feature.

Then as companies do to stimulate sales, the Endevor was intorduced. Nothing really different in the frame except some fancy steps in the main body with the key addition being the hand removable speed breech. The same set-up that is on the new T/C Triumph muzzleloader. It really makes for easy cleaning at the range and in the field which is great so no tools are needed for emergency field stripping incase your barrel gets fouled with mud or whatever else hunters may trip and fall into. The new T handle ram rod is also a new feature on both the Pro Hunter and the Endevor.

Dang, I sound like a saleman but I'm not.

Billy, they can call it whateverthey want;I amsure I will never buy another Encore again. To me they have not perfected therifle yet. I am just too gun shy on that one. I had troubles withtwo barrels, a.50 cal. PB and .30-06. I think they should have stopped after the Contender!

Now if you want to talkabout Contenders, pull up a chair. I willsingtheir praises allday. I have a G2 with abouteight barrels, all tackdrivers and never any problems with anyof 'em.

Outdoorsmen

Yes I am using pellets and not the EZloader sabots. They are way to undersized and do not group well even at 100 yards out of my barrel.

Thanks Capt Billy. What I was looking at were differences in the barrel. The way you made it sound something had changed inside the barrel making the Endeavor barrel a better shooter.
