I have most of my rendezvous stuff packed but would like to hear from the others on what else you would take that i may have over looked. Dont worry, i remembered cleaning patches, jags and solution. Also packed my flint and steel/pipe/tobacco.

you guys are somethin else.

Good news, I am goin no matter if they have black powder or not! My brothers cva hawken is now dead on balls @ 58 yards with 60g pyrodex select and a .490ball and .015 patch. 3 shots i could cover with a quarter! I am however taking the .54 flinter Great Plains with me incase they DO have blackpowder!

Have a great time FG. You packed a throwing knife and a tomahawk I trust.

No i dont plan on doing all that stuff yet. Im bad enough at throwing a baseball or football I dont think i'd trust myself to be throwin sharp objects.

Took the hawken out to 72 yards and man was that sucker shooting high. about 4" high, going to adjust the rear sight down some more.
Groups, i wasnt to impressed with, 2 1/2" 3 shot group. It could have been the sun causing problems but i wont know until i pick up some pyrodex tomorrow. I'll try putting a patch on top of the powder first and then load my patch and ball.

Great Plains and the kentucky are both coming with me incase they have blackpowder for sale! I'll use the GP if thats the case. Then again, the kentucky is a shooter too.

I guess your dog will work FG. Have fun. I wish I could go with you. Maybe when I retire. Do they heve electricity there, cause I need a night light cause I'm afraid of the dark...if not, I'll have to bring along some candles....
