Winchester Apex Mag, who has one?
I have a win apex mag in .45, just wondering who else has one and what you think of it. Also what do you load? I've had mine 2 seasons but have not pulled the trigger in the field yet.

RE: Winchester Apex Mag, who has one?
I bought the 50cal camo/stainless version for my son a couple of years ago. It shoots very well with both conicals and sabot's. Shockwaves of any weight shoot well with somewhere between 80 and 100 grains of loose powder and some loads shoot well with up to 150gr of pellets and a Shockwave. It also likes the 285gr Barnes Exparder MZ's with loose powder. It does get a bit of crud ring when using 777, even with the Rem Kleanbore primers. We have been using Pyro P as it gives similar velocity to 777 2F without the CR.
The gun is well built and fits well which makes it comfortable to shoot. You have a very good rifle there, good luck with it.

I had one up until a couple weeks ago. Forum memeber Corey now owns it.
240g maxi balls with a felt wad and 70 to 80 g pyrodex p shot awesome. 195g powerbelts with 70g pyrodex select did great. 285g hronady great plains with 80g pyrodex p did great. The best bullet i shot that offered the best groups was a 275g powerbelt driven by 80g pyrodex select.
Great shooting rifles.
I found the CCI 209M "magnum" Primers to be the cleanest.
