Hornady FPB bullets are NOT Colorado legal!
I emailed the Colorado DOW and evidently they only count the metal, because he told me that the Hornady bullet would be legal in Colorado.
You can be sure that I will save that email in case someone else has another opinion!

I would love to see Hornady come out with a 300gr .45cal FPB for those of us that shoot a 45 cal. MZ.
I Emailed Hornady and Suggested that they look into this, all .45cal shooters should do the same IMO , it would give us another option in bullets.

So i went to that link Steve but i dont really see a report about the bullet. Only that its an lead alloy and a harder jacket.
"Powerbelts do not fly well" HUH?
I still dont see anything about this new bullet that has me shakin in my wee boots. RW mentions the powerbelts along withthe 45-70 more in that *report* than the Hornady bullet itself
No pictures of his actual tests? Not even an report of him shooting the actual bullet.
I did read somewhere that RW wrote up this report even when he didnt shoot/test/even have the bullets in his own hands.

better yet, email randy and ask him!
He never did say he shot them in his report on how good they are. Hmm wait, he never did say how they shot or how they performed for him. Yeah, Better email him and get that directly from him.

That's funny, I remember reading the same thing. Something about his report coming out about how good of a bullet they are and how well they performed, except this was shortly after the announcement of their production, long before they were ever released.
