RE: Powerbelt Test day
Hey gander, you could be a millionaire. Buy JB Weld in bulk, repackage it and sell it at triple the price under a new label -"Gander's BulletModifier - IncreasesPerformance ofML Bullets". Us ML guys will buy just about anything. :D

Semisane
That may be more true than you would believe. Machine a simple brass point out of brazeing rod and JB weld it in and the penatration and capability for use with heavy loads would increase a lot. Lee |
RE: Powerbelt Test day
:Dno thanks.
I did however email powerbelt and ask if they could possibly consider making a flat nose powerbelt and offer it in the lighter weight powerbelts. Always worth a shot. I made sure to include that there was others on the forums wanting a new bullet without the hollow point. |
RE: Powerbelt Test day

RE: Powerbelt Test day
Ok i just got inside. i found a screw that fit the size of the hole. i ground it down until it fit flush with the bullet. I am going to epoxy it now once i take some pics. I'll test that one tomorrow.

RE: Powerbelt Test day
Why should bullets costing over $1 each need any modification to work?
And should not each package clearly state what its best intended usage and powder loads be? Steve |
RE: Powerbelt Test day
Its packaged with each load and on their website.
Its all for fun and games steve. Dont be such a new yoka, ease the pace and enjoy the fun. Lord knows this forum needs some kind of topic to keep us with some kind of entertainment :D I do like the brass tip idea. Wonder who i could have make me one? |
RE: Powerbelt Test day
I believe that the ideas for most of the improvement you see happing in muzzleloading are started in the field by customers. Sabot inlines them sevles and a lot of small accessories started in the field, well actually I am talking about modern inlines there were a number of origanals.

RE: Powerbelt Test day
Just do not see the "fun" of having to modify a bullet that is too expensive to begin with to get it to proform beyond its limited capabilities. The last thing I want is too be afield with a load that will not work at all ranges 1 yd to 150 and at any shot angle that presents itself. Info given across the net and thru your own testing clearly shows PB's are not that choice - and are one of the most expensive out there to boot.
:D:D:D(for fun) Steve |
