My First Time...

I'm so proud of myself. I just placed my first order from Midsouth. That's all, nothing special. I ordered a couple packs of green crushrib sabots and a T/C U-view powder measure. That's all. Still a little excited though.

You're in BIG trouble now SuperKirby. Midsouth and Midway get most of my discretionary dollars.

I told sabotloader that I was going to order a container of BH209 and he replied: "one container, you'd better get four and your going to need..........., I'm looking out the window, waiting my $200+ order to arrive[:@]. Sorry Mike, I had to pick on ya a little;).

God Bless,

Yeah,I would have spent $200 at least, except for that one voice in the back of my head telling me not to spend too much... you know, the one I married. Oh well, she did agree to this, and a box of XTP's, so it's all good.

Guys............LISTEN TO THE VOICE IN THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD!!!!!!! DO NOT LISTEN TO MIKE!!!!!!!

If you listen to Mike, that little voice will hit you right in the same spot with a cast iron skillet, I KNOW!!!!!

Now organize yourself so you can repeat buy >>FAST<< by using your MidSouth Wish List and file folders on your Pc, see this thread, which I printed to PDF to help folks like you spend more and enjoy shooting more and get those voices from leaving you head so you can think logical not emotional:

http://www.the-gleasons.com/Tips%20for%20Organizing%20Hunting%20Content.pdf

You will have lotsof extra places to put that extra money your head is tellin' you to spend! Like the $1200or $600check your gonna get for filing a tax return, maybe you can put some of that toward a few extras--new barrel---new shooting rest, more bullets, more powder.

Congratulations, your now offically in the "ML hunting club of high rollers and big spenders", president is Cayugad, who loves new rifles and knows all the Customer Service Reps on a first name basis (Kerry at GM!!).

Sometimes you have to turn the music up a little bit louder when you hear that little voice. It's the voice of reason, but not the voice of fun. And as for the wife, spend some on her too. Better yet sometimes I stop and pick thesewild flowers along the road on my way home from work and she loves them.

Sunday is Mother's day, make Dinner for her--Corn on the cob, potato salad, chicken or steak grilled out, buy her a gift certificate for $50 for Midway's and MidSouth and a pedacue (sp?) gift certificate. My daughter, returning from college tomorrow, suggested kabobs, so we are gonna try that--and she is going shopping for them and we will make them up together. Looking for forward to it. Chap

Chap: Today I bought my wife two gift cards for aPEDICURE (not smarter than you I just looked it up for spelling). Not sure why those women love them but they do. Personally I would just as soon cut my own. Wife actually trying to talk me into doing one. Crazy woman!!!

Greetings ML,
They sure do love them, I am with you, I don't know why. Your wise to get two gift cards for the pedicure, since my wife tends to take my daughter or her best friend to the place and they really make a day of it--they go out for lunch usually a really nice place. Ladies have more fun in their fellowship, of that I am certain, sorta like huntin' camp for women. Tell her if she goes to hunting camp for 3 days, not a whole week, gets up opening morning at 4:00am (after going to bed at 12), sits in a Big Game huge double tree stand with youfrom 6:00am to 10am when it is between 10 and 17 degrees out, >>>doesn't complain<<< 1 word---always encouraging, doesn't scare the deer, then you will get a pedicure with her. That is the deal, see if it is "Deal or no Deal". :-->>.
Best Wishes,
Chap

If your in Michigan be carefull about picking flowers in the ditchs.
(1. it is againest the law and you could get a ticket, about $200.00

(2. the ditches are private property, belonging to the land owner. You could have tresspassing charges filed againest you. I have put a lot of work getting the ditch bank to grow flowers and have spent a lot of money on plants seeds and fertlizer so I WILL PRESS CHARGES.

(3 you could even get shot.

We have discount flower stores around the area. A dozen roses are $10.00 except the holidays like mothers day and valintines day when they are about $20.00.

:) Al

RE: My First Time...

1) I'm not in Michigan and they're not on private property
2) Anyone can buy a dozen roses and everyone does, but roses are boring. I'm not sure what type of flowers these are, but they are more beautiful than almost any I have seen.
3) As a LEO I'm positive that nothing I've done is against the law.

If you're in Michigan take alleyyooper's advice and don't pick flowers in ditches. Take Chap's advice and get your wife a pedicure.

I bought the wife a new vacuum cleaner. Women are happiest when they are feathering their nests. They won't admit it, but they are.
After 27 years, I know her pretty well. I also got her a $50 gift card at Lowes, so she could pick out all her spring plantings.
She also wanted roller skates, so I got em. This oughta be good. ;)

RE: My First Time...

You're a brave man mcawful. I would never buy my wife a vacuum cleaner as a holiday/birthday gift. Clothes - fine, jewelry - fine, body lotion- fine, but never, never household appliances. Such things don't seem to be suitable "personal" gifts in our family.

RE: My First Time...

I disagree sir. It's very personal, she is the woman after all. They're happiest when they are cleaning or doing things for their men. It's in their DNA. Oh, they won't let on when other women are around, but they love it. You just have to get in touch with your inner cleaning woman. She'll guide you.:D
For her birthday in August, I plan to get her some brand new waders ( my size) so we can go fishin.
I think she needs a new chainsaw, too.;)

Don't get me wrong gents, it doesn't work every time. I have bruised ribs from my Father's Day suggestion.
She asked what I wanted for father's day, I said an 18 year old Korean housegirl. ;)
To help her with the cleaning, ya know?
She didn't appreciate my attempt to lighten her housework load.

Don't get me wrong, mcawful. I like and admire your philosophy - I just could not survive implementing it. If I suggested something like an 18 year old housegirl, my wife would probably say something like "what for, just because you've got a Ferrari dosen't mean you know how todrive it".

The day a woman tells me what to not buy, or not spend, is the day I'll fly solo with a grin on my face...

'Course I don't try to tell her what shecan or can't spend at Midway either, so it all washes out even.......

Now that's funny!:D

I always get her stuff like that on mother's day, because as she likes to tell me, "I'm not your mother".;)
Our two kids (24 and 19) are the ones that she looks forward to getting things from.
This year they got her a "Mother's Ring" with their birthstones flanking hers. She loved it.

I guess I'm lucky she has a great sense of humor.

Yeah, I told my wife I was going to get her a vacuumfor her birthday once. Didn't fly. But it does remind me...

Q: Do you knowwhy women wear white wedding dresses?

A: Isn't that what color all kitchen appliances are supposed to be?

She hit me when I told her that.

Good one.
Why are womens feet smaller than mens?
So they can stand close to the sink.;)

Yep.
What do you do if your wife won't leave you alone when you're watching the game?
Give her a shorter chain.
