Anyone else find it odd that Cayugad is on a first name basis with GM customer service, and he can even tell you who's going to answer the phone?

Didn't find it odd; I sort of expected it, didn't you?

GM has Cayugad's picture on the wall in the sales office.

YOu could get the 15/16 and then glass bed it in the stock. It would look like this.

ORIGINAL: cayugad

ORIGINAL: coryj

Is the 15/16" barrel what I need for my renegade or the 1"? I hope it's 15/16 because I want the 21" barrel for the tree stand.

Thanks.
I am almost positive that the Renegades.. all of them.. are 1" on the flats. The Hawkins are 15/16th in 45 & 50 but turn 1" on the .54 and .58 calibers. So you would need the 1". When you call you will probably talk to Kerry. Ask her to make sure and she will tell you what is out there for you.

I don't think that would be an option because I still would like to shoot my factory barrel. It is 1:48 and shoots round balls great, but I was looking for something for sabots and conicals and the 1:28 barrel should fit the bill.

The 21" would be nice for the stand, butisnot currently available for the renegade. I ordered the 28" barrel and yes Cayugad I spoke to Kerry. She seemed very knowledgable and was very helpful. Initially shesaid they did not have any flint barrels for the renegade, but after further checking she found me one. I can't wait.

I was so excited I forgot to ask about shipping time and sights. Anyone help me out with these questions? How long did your barrel take to arrive and what type of sights come on these barrels?

Thanks.

Probably takes about a week to come in. I'm expecting mine today or tomorrow.

They tell you two weeks for shipping and normally show up through UPS in about four working days not counting week ends.

Kerry really knows her stuff. And she can really set you up nice. GMB is a great company and will really go the extra mile to make you happy. You will love that barrel in 28 inch. The older model barrels came with standard sights, while the new barrels come with a nice fiber optic sight.

I have one of them 28 inch 1-28 .50 calibers. Load 100 grains of 2f powder and a 300 grain XTP and it will shock you how accurate it is. While the longer barrel is not as nice in a tree stand, I never saw them as a problem as I am normally ready for the shot. I have even hunted in thick woods with a 32 inch barrel and found no problems.

And my picture is not on their wall... although I might be on speed dial.

It's hard to say, when I ordered mine they were already out of various sizes and calibers. Only way to find out is to call. 603-447-1095. Good luck. Maybe see whats still available and let the others on this forum know.
