Thomson Center ?

Looking for some advice, or thoughts. I currently have a T/C prohunter in 7mm-08. I am in the market for an in-line muzzle loader and would like to stay with T/C. My question is should I get a ML barrel for the prohunter, or go with the Triumph? Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I would think that is a personal choice on your part.. It depends on what fits you and what you like. It is apparent you like the Pro Hunter already. You could go with a barrel for the Pro Hunter and I am sure it would serve you well. Or you could get strictly a muzzleloader. The Triumph would be a good choice..

tgta is the reason I got the pro to change out barrels according to my season.

Either way you get a new gun...I have the Encore and bought it so that I could change barrels when I want to. I realizethat not everyone wants to mess with swapping out barrels especially after they have got there setup where they want it. Good luck in the decision making department.

I have a Encore and have 209x45 in-line and 223 REM barrels for it so far love it . Same ankor point and the same trigger pull , swapping barrels is no problem they both shoot great .

Not to get too far off the subject is there a reputable site to purchase barrels for the TC pro that are at a decent price?

Midway usa handles bagara barrels for the encore. Also R&R Arms handles t c barrels for the encore.

Look around and some folks are against the Barraga barrel due to not pressure testing the for safety as is required i the USA. Also look at Bellm wb site, sometimes he has barrels going on. I beleive Modern muzzle loader had a 50 cal barrel if you know that ste. www.modernmuzzleloader.com

My brother bought a 300win mag and a ML barrel, he does not use the 300 win much honestly. last year was first year he used the Win Mag barrel for Penna hunting. He prefers the MLer in both NY, Penna and Va. The Triumph is going to cost about 2x to 3x what a barrel will cost. I think it comes down to feel, if you love the Encore frame and stock, I think that was the selling point of the Encore.
