Being an old city slicker what is it. It looks kind of small for anotter. Is it a mink?
It sure looks like a mink to me.. weasels are smaller and white this time of year, a fisher is a LOT bigger, wrong shaped head for an otter, and of course that is not a badger or a pine martin.

Those little mink like that will really do damage on a farm. We normally had weasels as there was no water near us. I have weasels around here, but since they do not bother me and eat the mice that like to infest my garage, I leave them alone and just sweep up the bones they leave.

Dave You are right it is a mink, a weasle is alot longer and alot more slender and no bushy tail.

I offered him a cigerette and a blind fold.He turned them both down..
When he wrapped his teeth around the barrel of the old 22,it was
curtains for him..I have 15 chicks in the house right now...I am gonna
check the coop out good to see if I can find where it was getting in..
Then maybe cover the walls with chicken wire before putting the
others in there....[8D]

Those Hav-a-Hart traps are great. I've caught many rabbits and ground squirrels with mine.

Congratulations-hopefully this will take care of your problem.

Glad that you got thepesky weasel. Do not relax your guard, there may be another one. Keep that box trap set for awhile.

I still can't figure out why they call the traps "Live Traps". All the Racoon and Possum that I catch in mine never come out that way.

I told someone here that the animals in my yard typically die of lead poisoning. When they asked me in a very concerned way how they got so much lead in their system, I simply replied, "At high velocity."
