RE: A Flintlock Virgin No More!
ORIGINAL: Semisane Hey wabi, I'm not all that concerned about the traditional thing (a scope on a flintlock may be going too far though :D). I've shouldered guns with fiber optic sights in gun shopsand they just seem to blur out on me. Don't know if that's an effect of the flourescent lighting, or not. A guy in our hunting club has a .22mag with FO sights. I may try to talk him in to taking the scope off so I can try the sights on the range a little bit. I really think this Great Plains will shoot if I could get a decent sight picture. May have to try the Lyman peep sight. Chap ![]() |

Thanks for the info WOODTICK. Neverknew he existed.
Kisatchie isa pretty good treck from my home in River Ridge (New Orleans suburb), but I may have to go that route. How are his prices? |
RE: A Flintlock Virgin No More!
answer to semisane:
His prices were very reasonable.as I recall,I e-mailed him and he e-mailed me back with a phone number . He will work with you if you can,t make the drive right away. Like I said a real nice fella .give him a try. |
RE: A Flintlock Virgin No More!
I think your search is over. Targets don't lie. If I were getting groups like that at 50 and 75 yds there wouldn't be a darn thing that I would change. Now all you got to do is file down that front sight to hit where you are looking.
