Default My daughter's first deer w/mz

my daughter shot her first deer, a mature doe yesterday a.m. Range 55yds aprox. with her .50 white mtn carbine (tc). 70grs ff goex 275maxi hunter. Right behind the shoulder. Needless to say,she was excited!!! This old computer doesn't have picture capibility though. Now she is pumped for spring turkey. I now have new hunting partner!!!

She did field dress the deer didn't she?

no she didnt, but she had her nose right there. the first one was on me! Payback time will come! She is studying to be a wildlife biologist!!

Well congratulations to your daughter. I like to see young people excited about the sport. I gives me hope that this tradition will carry on. All too often young people want to sit in the house and do nothing.

Way to go there young lady. Now shoot one bigger then Dad next year!!

Thanks for the comments gentlemen! Also the same morning a good buddy of mine shot wallhanger 8pt 19in spread,9in tines with his white mz using 460s w/70grff at tenthirty am. 97yds from his treestand,bang flop. what a beauty!!!! We live for mzlding season. Cold weather and snow1 It just dont get any better!!

275gr maxihuntr range 55yds just rear of shoulderblade deer was slihtly quartering to our right shot was somewhat downnhill one lung tore up then liver and innards never found the bullet, but it worked hit was about 4 to5 ins up from bottom of chest. Ithink iwould have her hold i/2 way up next time.
